Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She's an American-Mexican actor. She sings as well. She was raised by her mother within the USA. Her childhood was filled with racist remarks and made to feel unwanted. The confidence started to build at the age of nineteen when she appeared in an audition and was highly praised by the judges for her vocal ability. It not only boosted the confidence of her, but was also a change in the direction in which she went on to pursue her career. In 1992 she graduated with her master's degree from the city's Julliard School. At the age of 23 she began her journey on Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, aged 23 she made her film debut in You've Got Mail. The role in The Lady of The Lake is her greatest success, and earned an award for her performance, the Tony Award in addition to praise from critics for her role. The following year, she was cast as the character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gaining wider fame. As a well-known singer, she released her own single and an extended version of her play. She is also a campaigner and has been active to promote LGBT rights.
