Zoe-perry
Perry was born to Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). The character Jackie Harris was played by her mother in both her two appearances on Roseanne. Because of their fear of stress, the parents didn't want to see her pursue acting before she reached the age of 18. Perry she was shy to be a part of the theater in her school, began to perform in theater classes at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new acquaintances. When she graduated, Perry moved into New York to search for television work landing small roles on series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent but homesickness brought her back to California and she was able to find theater jobs. Perry's mother and I appeared on Broadway together for the play The Other Place, in 2013. The show was directed by Eugene O'Neill. Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie as well as Kevin McKidd. This was performed at West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry played a role in 9 episodes of The Family, an ABC crime thriller The Family in 2016. In 2017, Perry starred in an appearance on ABC's political thriller Scandal with her father. In the same year, she was cast as a younger character of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again portraying a younger character of her mom's. She was cast in the role through an open audition despite being a fan of this role.
